Themed ‘Enchanted Garden’, the 25th annual Hospitality gala gathered 500 attendees raising $745,000 for psychiatric services at Bozeman Health, a resounding success made possible by the support of 40 event sponsors and dozens of volunteers. The evening’s success was enhanced by the engaging leadership of master of ceremonies Terry Cunningham, the expertise of auctioneer Missy O’Malley, and a stunning performance by the Montana Ballet Company. Another standout moment of the evening was the participation of acclaimed actress and mental health activist Glenn Close.

Close, a longtime advocate of mental health, introduced her sister Jessie Close and her nephew Calen Pick, who have each experienced lifelong journeys with mental illness and recovery. The three spoke on stage together sharing powerful words about the stigma surrounding mental health, the importance of hope, and the ongoing need for advocacy resonated deeply with the audience. Bozeman Health Chief Executive Officer Kathryn Bertany also shared a profoundly personal and moving story of losing her son, Jack, to a drug overdose at the age of 21. Her emotional reflection on his struggles with mental illness underscored the importance of continued support for expanded and enhanced access to mental health services.

As the final fundraising totals were calculated, attendees also celebrated a raffle winner and the recipients of the evening’s ‘Most Enchanted Attire’ awards. Bozeman Health Foundation is grateful to everyone who contributed to making the 25th Annual Hospitality Fundraiser a resounding success.
