Bozeman Health Foundation Celebrates Giving Societies

Every successful mission is nurtured by a select group of individuals who lead with their hearts and follow-up with their generosity in support of the greater good. Bozeman Health Foundation celebrates a number of giving societies in order to recognize our most generous and loyal donors.

Their dedication and commitment to our mission enable Bozeman Health Foundation to improve health and quality of life for our communities.

  • PILLARS Society: Recognizing cumulative lifetime contributions of $10,000 or greater
  • Deaconess Ambassadors Society: Recognizing individuals who have supported Bozeman Health through a planned estate gift
Members of our giving societies are recognized on a beautiful digital display located in the entrance 1 lobby at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center. Donor recognition lists are updated each Spring. For questions or to make adjustments to your listing contact Bozeman Health Foundation: 406-414-1085 or Foundation@bozemanhealth.org.

Sustaining Excellence in Health Care

PILLARS honors our family of contributors who sustain excellence in health care today as pioneered by healers of yesterday. By having the compassion and conviction to give generously, members of the Pillars Society demonstrate strong, purposeful giving to support excellence in patient care and health care advancements. Our donors are Pillars in our community who sustain the mission of Bozeman Health. We recognize seven levels within the PILLARS Society.

PILLARS Levels

  • Hippocrates: $1 million and above
  • Edward Jenner: $500,000 – $999,999

Providing a Lasting Impact Through Legacy Giving

Deaconess Ambassadors honors our family of contributors who have demonstrated forethought and generosity to ensure that as part of their legacy, financial resources are available to provide health care that will meet the needs of future generations in our community. Members of the Deaconess Ambassadors Society – Investors in Community Health and Quality of Life through Planned Giving – have expressed their commitment to the mission of Bozeman Health through a very special and important form of financial support – planned estate gifts.

The Deaconess Ambassadors Society is named to honor the legacy and profound impact the Deaconesses of the Methodist Episcopal Church had in the history of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital (est. 1911). The Deaconesses sustained and grew hospital operations -providing nursing care and hospital leadership for 27 years, from 1912 until 1939. They lived a life of service and were committed to providing excellent patient care and ensuring that health care was accessible to everyone. Their dedication secured the hospital’s important and indispensable role in the community and its commitment to providing the finest care.
When you make a planned gift to support our work you become a member of the Deaconess Ambassadors Society.

Members have named the Foundation as the beneficiary of a planned gift or in their estate or Will. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, or gifts of life insurance. The gift could also be the designation of Bozeman Health Foundation as the beneficiary of a retirement plan, bank account or certificate of deposit.

We are grateful for our Pillars Society member’s ongoing investments in the health and well-being of people in our community.

Planned gifts can be established through gifts of cash or appreciated assets such as stock, securities or real estate. While this may be done in several ways, through different financial tools that can be adapted to your situation, the end result is the same: providing a lasting gift of hope and support for others in our community.

At Bozeman Health Foundation, 100% of your donations lead directly to enhanced health care, close to home. In their moments of greatest need, people and families in our community benefit from the gifts you give – and legacy giving provides an excellent opportunity to leave a lasting mark on many other lives. In Montana, individuals making planned gifts to endowment funds can receive a credit against their state taxes for a percentage of their charitable gift. Other benefits include either a fixed or variable income, reduced federal income tax and reduced capital gain tax liability.
