Five Community Leaders Appointed to Board of Directors

Bozeman Health Foundation appointed five exceptional individuals to its Board of Directors in July. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise will enhance our mission and drive our initiatives forward.

Robin Hape, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon at Bozeman Health since 2018, with a surgical career that spans two decades. He earned his medical degree and training from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He has served on professional committees at Bozeman Health including those with a focus on trauma care, cancer treatment and rural health initiatives He is also involved in medical education as the surgery site director for the WWAMI medical school.

Craig Johnson, a Montana native and longtime Bozeman resident, has nearly two decades of professional accounting experience, including his current role as accounting manager at Riverside Country Club. He finds fulfillment through helping others, spending time with his wife and three children, and exploring the outdoors. He said that growing up in Bozeman gave him firsthand insight to the many improvements made at Bozeman Health and how the Foundation has played a big role.

Joye Kohl, EdD, holds degrees from the University of Wyoming and American University, and a doctorate in higher education with an emphasis on organizational development from Montana State University. Her career spans teaching, research and leadership roles. A longtime Bozeman resident, she’s been involved health care advocacy, including time served on the Bozeman Health Board of Directors from 1982 to 1987 and again in 1989 through 1995.

Cory Pulfrey is a Montana native has been a resident of Bozeman for the past 16 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Cory is active in the local nonprofit community, having served on the boards of Montana State Alumni Foundation, Heart of the Valley, MSU Innovation Campus and Bozeman Health.

Chelsea Williams assists with employee engagement and marketing at for her family-owned business, Williams Plumbing. Her career started at Montana State University where she fostered business and community relations. She later served as executive director of the Gallatin Ice Foundation, raising $4.5M for the major expansion of the ice barn and rink. She also facilitated the opening of Bozeman Sports Park, bringing six fields online. Her past board experience includes serving for Gallatin Valley United Way and Downtown Bozeman Association.
