Bozeman Health Foundation Raises over $1M at Annual Hospitality Gala

26th annual event supports doubling the size of the Emergency Department at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center.

In a powerful show of community generosity, Bozeman Health Foundation raised $1,018,891 during its sold-out 2026 Hospitality Gala on April 25 at the Strand Union Ballrooms at Montana State University. Proceeds from the Wild West-themed evening will support the expansion of the Emergency Department at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center (DRMC).

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of sponsors, attendees and donors, 100% of Gala proceeds will go toward nearly doubling the size of the DRMC Emergency Department – helping to ensure continued lifesaving care when it matters most.

More than 500 guests saddled up in boots and Western flair, united by a shared purpose: strengthening emergency care for a rapidly growing region. The evening featured live and silent auctions, a special performance by Cole Decker, and powerful stories that brought to life the critical role emergency care plays in moments of crisis.
“The success of this year’s Gala reflects the heart and compassion that define this community,” said Matt Miller, Chief Philanthropy Officer for Bozeman Health Foundation. “Behind every gift is a desire to help someone in their most vulnerable moment. Together, we are ensuring our Emergency Department continues to grow to support our neighbors, friends and families when they need it most.”

The DRMC Emergency Department is the region’s only Level III trauma center, providing time-sensitive, lifesaving trauma care for patients across three counties in Southwest Montana. Nationally recognized for quality – including heart attack care ranked in the top 1% nationwide – the emergency department plays a vital role in the health and safety of the community.

The expansion project will increase the number of treatment rooms from 21 to 40 and add advanced equipment and technology to support high-acuity, complex care. With exceptional physicians, nurses and care teams in place, the project ensures the physical space matches the high level of expertise and advanced care delivered every day.
